Flotsam on the Internet
Slave of Two Masters is now available as a Kindle e-book. It's only $2.87. You need to read it as a preparation for the grim commercial meat-grinder of the Holiday Season. Not so much to "put Christ back into Christmas" as to "put sanity back into December."
The series is going to be continued soon, I hope. It got disrupted by a leg injury which, on the down-side, has kept me largely immobile over the last three days. On the up-side it has given me a great opportunity to freshen and sharpen my thoughts on Stoicism as a means of pleasure.
In other news, I have a donate button. And also six children. And dogs. And a husband. And no guns. So I'm basically the inverse of a country and western song. This isn't going well. I was trying to make a case for "I'm terribly hard-done-by-please-take-pity-on-me-and-support-my-blog." Apparently Stoicism is a bad foundation for heart-wringing fund-raising campaigns. Seriously, though, if you've got a couple bucks to spare throw them in the electronic plate, because although I admittedly possess all of the best things in life that are free I have not so far figured out how to use them to pay my Hydro bill.
